Deaf man caught stealing an earpiece

in the early hours of Monday morning, a man was caught stealing an 'earpiece', unfortunately for him, he was caught by a crowd, when the crowd asked him why he stole it, the man didn't answer, the crowd thought the man was playing dumb with them so they beat the hell out of him, few minutes later they asked the man again why he had stolen the earpiece, the man still couldn't reply, then someone in the crowd suggested that the man may be deaf, they(the crowd) decided to give the man a pen and paper, then the man wrote "I am deaf". the crowd looked at the man and had pity on him then they took him to the hospital....
